Boys Will Be Boys

I swear.  Everyday we have a major accident in our house.  Skinned knees and elbows.  Run ins with sharp corners.  Slips in the kitchen.  Today Brayden and I were playing hide and go seek in the kitchen (I was hiding and he was seeking) and all was fine and good until he found me and when I turned around he fell into the corner of the refrigerator.  Yeah, I know.  Not smart to play hide and go seek in the kitchen, but we were having so much fun.  Poor kid got a little cut on his eyelid, but other than that he looked okay.  He was really shaken up, though.  And it took a while to calm him down.  Well, later I figured out why.  B got himself pretty good and it’s been getting redder and redder every hour.  Tomorrow he may have a black eye :(  I guess I better get used to it though.  It doesn’t seem like any of his accidents are slowing him down at all!

It is so true. Boys are a different breed, but at least they move on quickly. I was shocked the first time my neighbors daughter fell on the concrete outside. I’ve never heard such a commotion. I suppose I have that to look forward to with my girl.

Today I had the kitchen drawer open and he ran into it. HUGE bump on his forehead. Skinned knees and elbows are just there so much I don’t even notice them anymore. Good Luck. My son is going to give me a heartattack one day Very soon. And he was such a happy adn content peacful baby. All the way till he turned 3. Then he was all crazy boy.

Awww….poor baby. My daughter always seems to getting bumps and bruises. I’m such a worry wart that I’m always afraid she is going to go to sleep and never wake up. The worrying never stops! I’m 33 and my mom still worries about me.

It must be a toddler thing because Dakota is CONSTANTLY running into something, bumping her head off furniture and scraping her knees. I think I told you that she busted her lip open 3 times in 5 days. ARGH!!!

  6. I don’t know you but we could be friends. I have four of my own monkeys that are ALWAYS getting hurt. Maybe it’s a boy thing. Your comment about his hair made me laugh. Totally me. Love your blog. Thanks for sharing!

I was wondering if you were maybe ever going to do a tips post on focusing? I can’t EVER use auto focus because it never focuses on what I want. But it takes me FOREVER to manually focus. With the kids running around and never staying still I hardly ever am getting an infocus shot. Any tips or tricks?

At least it’s nothing permanent! My son who is 2 1/2 has gotten stitches TWICE on his forehead…All I can say is that I’m glad he’s a boy, with a scar like that!

Oh what an appropriate title! I had no idea how clumsy, yet resilient little boys were. They take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’. My little guys legs are literally covered in bruises and scrapes – battle scars in boys terms. I guess we better get used to it.

Hey, I found your blog from some other blog and I am so glad I did!

Anyway, my middle child is VERY accident prone. If he doesn’t cry at least once or twice a day b/c of a bang, bash, or booboo, then something is wrong.
