Great Ages For Baby Pics
People often ask me what are the best ages to photograph babies. For new babies you must have them photographed within the first 10 days. I personally won’t photograph a newborn who is older than 10 days. Why? Because they don’t sleep and curl up as well and because they start to develop baby acne. After that my favorite age is right around 8 months. Or, right when they learn to sit up, but can’t crawl yet. They are so fun at that age because they are happy, smiley babies who can’t run away from you 
Case in point. This little cutie, Saige from my shoot yesterday. She was happy as a clam the whole time!
That was my most favorite stage to photograph Brayden. Now he can say no and run away from me!
And while shooting babies when they are walking can pose challenges it’s still fun! You just need to find a photographer who is good with kids and has a lot of patience!

I totally agree about the ages… I remember doing a 17 days newborn that was a total disaster!

Great pic as always! I totally agree about the ages. I don’t mind crawlers as much as ones who are walking (or running).
gorgeous photos, as always! i have to say that my firstborn NEVER slept (even before 10 days old) and never got baby acne! My newest little one slept all day every day til she was a month and a half, and never got baby acne! LOL! I think ALL ages are the best ages to photograph!

Of course all ages are fun to photograph but for those who want to invest in professional pictures those are the ages I would recommend for the best pictures.
My specialty is babies 0-12 months. Each developmental stage brings opportunity to capture their special milestone. At 3 mo they are smiling and make cute bubbles so my photography focuses on the face and expressions. At 6 months, they are sitting up and can push up on tummies, cute for discreet naked shots. At 8 months they can usually stand against furniture or props and have sweet toothy grins. 12 months they are on the move and oh so fun but does take lots of bags of tricks to get them to sit still…LOL!! http://www.anotherdayindesignsbytonyaworld.blogpot.com
