I Love My Job!
This past week I had my fourth shoot with one of my very first clients. They gave me a chance when I was first starting out, when I didn’t have a lot to show or a big fancy camera. And they’ve stuck with me throughout the years. And I love them for it. I only get to see them once a year (well, I got to see Jen twice this year because she did a mentoring session with me over the summer), but every time I see them it’s like seeing old friends again. It’s comfortable. I love how the girls get excited to see me because I get excited to see them and hear all about their new teachers, the tooth fairy, and even boys this year (yikes!). It’s the best part about my job. Connecting with my clients and getting to be more than just their photographer.
Yesterday I shared this image that Jen shot of me during their session

Here’s what I saw

And I love this one that Jen took. Sneaky Sydney was doing bunny ears behind my back and I love how I’m wearing Kendall’s scarf.

Here’s what I saw

And I can’t go without posting a few of the woman behind the camera who looked absolutely fabulous!

I’m so lucky to get to capture families year after year as they grow. I love my job!

i love that black and white of daddy and daughter with their heads together. such a precious moment.

When I read that this was one of the first families you ever shot it got me thinking… Would you post some of your earlier work? You latest is incredibly inspiring, but I think it would inspire me (a pro momtog) even more if I could see where you started! (Just a thought)
I’ve posted the link a couple of times, but my old photography blog is still up on the world wide web, which I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing
http://www.drewbphotography.blogspot.com. Try not to laugh too hard!
Okay so I think I looked at ALL your post on the old blog… Just one question… Where are the bad pics you claim to have posted. I see nothing but amazing photographs. You must be one of those girls who just always do everything great even the first time you try it!
By the way.. Can you email me all the info about your mentoring sessions, and do you do them long distance or only in person???

Thanks girl! Hoping to get to do the mentoring session eventually but will DEFINITLY be purchasing the “UNposing guide”… Can’t WAIT for that!!!
