Thank You!

Thanks for all of the birthday love, friends!  You all sure know how to make a girl feel good!  By they way, if you want to feel extra special on your birthday you have to go to Disneyland!  It’s so much fun seeing the other people wearing their birthday buttons.  And everyone says happy birthday to you.  It’s fun!  B and I were in line waiting to say hi to Pluto and there was a little 3 year old who shared my birthday waiting behind me.  I told her I was turning 3 too and her big sister called me out and told me there was no way I was 3.  So, I told her she was right and I was really 4.  She still didn’t believe me.  Kids!

I gave away 9 UNposing Guides yesterday!  How fun that we all have the same birthday!  And I think half of those were guys.  Who knew so many Dads read this blog too?  Interesting…

My hubby surprised me with a trip to Seattle this weekend so I’m going to be taking a blogging break to catch up on work and enjoy the trip!  I’ve never been to Seattle before so I’m excited!  Anything we must see / do while we’re there???  Oh, and if you really miss me that much I will be updating the DrewB blog with at least 1 (maybe 2) awesome family sessions before I leave.

Happy Belated! Seattle is an awesome city! Kudos to your hubby for the gift! I live south of there and just to let you know right now the weather is COLD!We moved here from So Cal two years ago so I know the weather you are accustomed to! If you are taking B you definitely have to hit up the Aquarium. It’s a fantastic one. That is along the coast so you have lots of great restaurants to pick from. You of course have to go to Pike’s Market and watch them throw fish. It can be REALLY BUSY though. No matter what it will be a blast! There is so much to see there!Have fun and bundle up!

I went to Seattle in June– it was a lot of fun. Something I would recommend: go to Cupcake Royale and get a red velvet cupcake! They are delicious.

You have to go to the Fish Market and the original Starbucks!

  5. If you go to watch them throw fish in pikes market, there is a little cheese store in that corner called Beechers. They have the BEST macaroni and cheese. Then just around the bend there is a cheesecake store. I can’t remember the name off the top of my head, (I seem to remember something confections) but I am sure if you ask someone will know. They have indidvidual cupcakeish sized cheesecakes so everyone can have their own flavor….or two :-)

  7. We were just in Seattle in August…and I am awe struck! You MUST ride the ferry…somewhere. anywhere.

Of course, go to Pike’s Market.

If you are a nerd like me..make the trek to Port Angeles & Forks :)

    Have a great time!!!

i live in Washington, so Seattle is my territory. If i were you, i would go to the space needle- but dont spend too much time in pikes place market, because it is pretty lame…the fish thing is neat, and you have to take a picture in front or on the pig…but that is about all the charm pike place market has. I think much more alluring things to do in Seattle would be to go to the Seattle Science Center…now that place is fun, and there are alot of neat things to take pictures of. They have an IMAXX theatre and a music museam in the same block, and also this year round carnival thing there as well. They also have a tour bus that is called “duck” something that will take you all around Seattle to hit the tourist spots.

I live in Olympia, which is like an hour or so away from Seattle… how neat is it that you will be that close! especially when 3 yrs ago i lived near you in cali too! lol

Hi Drew, Happy Belated! And what a nice hubby! :) I live in Seattle and it is an AWESOME place and full of people and bustle. Bring warm clothes cause it’s been raining a lot this week! Pike Place Market is fun, the Space Needle is cool with good view from the top (unless it’s cloudy!) if B’s coming he’d love the Woodland Park Zoo and maybe the Pacific Science Center. If you want a pretty waterfall head to Snoqualmie Falls in Snoqualmie, it’s probably Ginormous with all the rain we’re getting lately. Ferrys are fun, old and cold there’s several to take but I can’t remember what’s on the other end of them. Anyway, enjoy your stay and hopefully we’ll get some sun while you’re in town! And PS, skip Port Angeles, there’s nothing going on there (Sorry Candace!) :)

We LOVE Seattle! I hope you have a fantastic time. Every time we’ve been there we just shopped and ate. There’s a tram/monorail thing that will take you from a shopping center right in the middle of downtown (maybe two blocks from Nordy’s) to the Space Needle. The tix are cheap and it’s a cool way to get there. No great tips – just enjoy it. Cool gift!
