I hate earthquakes. Â I’ve lived in Southern California my whole entire life and I’ve been through all of the big ones, but I still can’t get use to them. Â When Brayden was a just a few months old we had a pretty big quake that was centered just a few miles from us. Â I wouldn’t stay in the house by myself for days. Â I would leave when Chuck left in the morning and not come back until he did. Â My fear is totally unhealthy, but it’s more than a fear. Â It’s a phobia. Â My fear of earthquakes consumes me. Â Just hope and pray you’re never with me during one.
I can’t help but think of what all the people in Haiti are going through right now. Â They are already the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere and on top of that, they are not a country who has prepared for an earthquake. Â Earthquakes just don’t happen on that side of the world very often. Â I can’t help but think how easily that could be us in Southern California. Â And it will be us sooner or later. Â We will need everyone’s help when the next really big one hits us. Â I want to help the people in Haiti. Â Until Thursday, January 14 at midnight I will be donating 100% of the profits of the UNposing Guide to the Red Cross International Response Fund, which will go directly to the people of Haiti. Â Already have an UNposing Guide or would like to donate less? Â I encourage you to donate what you can, whether it be $5 or $500 to the Red Cross or any other organization who is helping the people of Haiti. Â Let’s see how much money we can raise for the earthquake victims!

You are amazing. This is amazing. I big puffy heart Drew!

Hi Drew,
First of all your an amazing women for doing such a huge donation. I have not yet purchased my unposing guide and am now going to do so today! Thank you for having a huge heart and blessing these people in the way you can.
Also, just FYI cause I know it would bug me… did you misspell Brayden’s name in this post? haha!
Haha! I totally did! Thanks for catching that, Laycee. Sometimes I can’t remember how we decided to spell it. Is that bad that I can’t remember how to spell my own son’s name sometimes??? And thanks for purchasing the UNposing Guide!
Oh Drew!
I feel for them so much. Good for you for doing this. It’s a very inspiring post!
I 100% understand with the earthquake phobia. When that last one hit my baby was only a month or so old and I started running out of the house and then had to run back in and grab my boy!! And though I am so embarrassed by this there WAS a moment of hesitation!!! Luckily the “mommy” overpowered the “scardy” though..I am so afraid!! He had no clue though…probably just thought it was a new vibrating chair or something then mommy came and grabbed him running out of the house in her chonies…no joke. Don’t tell anyone.
So kind of you to donate to these people when the need it most!

We donated first thing this morning. Minus the UNposing Guide. And by “we”, I mean “Hubby”. He’s pretty awesome. You are too. I can only imagine the sadness and overwhelming sense of shock that has taken over Haiti right now. So wonderful of you to donate and to encourage others to do so as well!
