Last Friday we had one of those days. Â One of those days where I can’t even write a short blog post because B is screaming at me and threatening to take a pen to my wedding albums. Â One of those days where I actually said, “If you don’t stop screaming I will turn this car around!”. Â One of those days where he woke up at 5am and took his nap two hours early, which made for a very long day. Â There was a lot of this going on. Â All before noon.
And when that is going on sometimes the only thing that keeps my sanity is to get my camera out and just laugh at him. Â Don’t worry. Â It’s not child abuse. Â I try the hugs and the I love yous first. Â But, when those don’t work I get my camera out. Â Because it makes me feel better.
When Chuck came home for lunch he took B out for a walk. Â When they got home B came walking up to me with a big smile on his face. Â He looked up at me and said, “Mama. Â Fower” and handed me a little yellow flower.
And I magically forgot all about the horrible morning we just had.

I love this post! We had a similar day yesterday with our son (who is usually a really good kid), but minus the walking, talking and flower, because he can’t do any of that yet
It’s a great reminder to take a step back and enjoy even the most-stressful moments!

We have some of those days at our house too…..and they are draining and then they turn around and do something sweet and you totally forget everything! I’m like you, I’ve got my camera out during these times too.
It doesn’t take much to turn your day around, does it?
I’m going to have to remember to get my camera out next time … I think that would make me feel better too!

So good to hear I am not the only one that has those days. The other night at dinner my 5-year-old was deciding to put on a big show as he did not want to eat.. so I got out the video camera and filmed it all.. someday I will laugh right?
whew. *wipes tears* I am having one of those days, such comfort in knowing that others have those days along side me. I agree, pulling out my camera is sometimes the best therapy. It helps me literaly refocus.
Awe, we had one of those days yesterday…still waiting on my flower though! LOL!
Aw! That would melt my mama heart! And husband points to Chuck who I’m sure encouraged picking that flower for you!!
Isn’t it amazing how quickly we forget!
I have those types of days all the time with 3 little ones in the house! They do have the power to turn the day around with those little smiles though!
Kudos to your hubby for taking B out for a walk!
I love when my husband can sense that I just need a tiny break!
Loved this post!
That is so super sweet! Your post just made my day, because I’ve had so many days just like that and it quickly vanishes by capturing the moment with the camera and with your heart when things like a simple flower make it all better

You couldn’t be more right. Sometimes we just have those days. You have to be able to laugh about them (okay, or AT them). And what a sweet, sweet flower.

We definitely have these days at our house! Love the shot you captured! And the yellow flower is too sweet!
Even crying he’s a cutie. Boy, do I remember those days! I thought they would last forever and even though we have hard days now it’s different since the kids are older:)
The heart of children is so sweet~love the little flower!
I know those days so very well and I feel some of my favorite captured moments are the crying ones too. What a sweet flower he brought home to you – Little boys sure know how to win over their mommies.
Too sweet. Great picture.
Ah! This just melts my heart!
