Chuck and I were born and raised in Anaheim. Â We’ve had annual passes to Disneyland since we were kids. Â We’ve probably both been hundreds of times. Â We are spoiled rotten and go to Disneyland several times a month. Â It’s one of the pros of living in Southern California along with 80 degree weather in February which most of the time outweighs the cons (EARTHQUAKES!, traffic, ridiculously high cost of living). Â It’s just what we do when we are bored. Â It’s so easy to go for a couple of hours, ride a few rides, grab dinner and head home. Â Obviously B isn’t complaining!
While Chuck and I have pretty much done everything you can do at Disneyland, we both had a first this weekend. Â We got to ride in the front car on the Monorail! Â This was B’s first time too and he just loved it! Â The weird and creepy kind people that were riding up front with us reminded us that you can’t do this at Disney World because “a whole bunch of people died on this thing”. Â While that made me a little nervous the pure joy on Brayden’s face as he acted as our tour guide and pointed out the “cars”, “cups”, and several other things that I didn’t understand because I couldn’t make out his Branglish helped me forget about the dangers of the Monorail. Â It’s such a little thing, but I’m glad we all got to experience this first together! Â And in less than 2 weeks we will have a very short trip to Disney World! Â I’m very excited to take Chuck because he has never been before. Â Actually, he’s never even been to Florida before! Â Should be fun!

Brayden is the coolest dressed little boy. Ever. Want to dress my kids? p.s. I don’t have kids yet

I live about 30mins south of Disney World… I love everything about it, by far my favorite theme park of all time! Have fun when you get here in Florida, hopefully it warms up for you.. it has been freezing!! (btw freezing to me is like 50 haha)
He would look cuter in a blue Dodgers hat! J/k.. he’s darling!!
Freezing to me is like 60 so I’m really hoping it warms up! Actually, I can deal with the current temps, I just don’t want it to rain!
Did you read the part where we were born and raised in Anaheim?
He’s an Angels fan. Although, that’s the only time he’s allowed to wear red!

Drew, I have to say that I think that this photo of Brandon is about the most beautiful photo that I have seen of him. You produce amazing skin tones. Awesome!
Seriously, your pictures are so creamy and fabulous even when it is just a snapshot of your adorable kid on the monorail! Love it!

Yay for FL! Even though I agree with Jamie, it has been freezing here! I live in central FL for a reason and it’s not because I enjoy 50 degree weather for weeks on end. Hopefully it’s nice for your trip down! And, I’m not sure when that family heard about not being able to ride in the front at Disney World but I did a few years ago…
We plan on getting season passes one of these years, right now we have passes for the zoo… just better for the stage (i.e about to have a baby) that we are in

Hi Drew!
I’m a relatively new reader and just wanted to tell you your photos are amazing! Brayden is adorable, he has the best smiles (I have a little guy who just turned two this month as well!).
You are soooo lucky! I’ve never been to Disney, it’s the one place I’ve always wanted to go.
You have the cutest little boy ever!
He is so adorable!
I would be ever so lucky if my photos were half as crisp as yours, I am everyday amazed on the amazing photos, crisp and colorful.
(and all else who are wondering)

FYI – you can ride in the front of the monorail @ Disneyworld in FL too. I’ve done it 3 times, and my kids have done it twice. It’s wicked cool at Epcot when you go around the bend before the monorail stop and you circle SpaceShip Earth (big golf ball ride).
Have fun!
Since the fatal crash last June of last year you can’t ride up front with the pilots on the Monorail at Walt Disney World. That’s what I had heard and that’s also what this recent article on this website confirms. http://disneyworldforum.disney.go.com/questions.aspx?page=&where=panel&qid=74931&pid=94&cid=97
I hope you have a great time at Disney World! I haven’t been there for almost 2 decades!

How fun! We have never had the chance to ride up front on the monorail. I am sure my two boys would die for the chance. lOl I hope you have a blast in Fl at Disney World. It is a fun fun place to go. :0)

Oh I’m so jealous! We {heart} anything disney! Y’all have fun!!!!
And today Shamu killed a trainer… TRAUMA! Tell me that you are going to Animal Kingdom. Please. Because that right there would be worth a trip to Florida alone. Say hi to the giraffes for me.
