I have the Tamron 28-75 2.8 and love it. I rented the canon Canon 24 – 70 2.8 and I couldn’t believe how heavy it was and it is 1200. I am starting photography and the tamron works very well. I have the Canon rebel t1i and maybe one day I will upgrade

Which lens did you use for the Green Cupcake pictures? Was that the Canon 24 – 70 2.8? Does 2.8 get a good fuzzy background?

Great post as usual. I also want to add that for a budget friendly alternative, the Tamron 28-75 2.8 has been rated extremely comparable (some have rated it even better) to the Canon 24-70L in hundreds of reviews and it's weight and durability is impressive too for it's <$500 price tag. .-= Mindy´s last blog ..Not Me! I want the 24-70mm so bad! I'm saving up my money now for it, I had debated on getting just the 24mm but I was reading some of your posts about using it the 24-70 and decided I had to have it. I have been toying with the idea of buying a nikon 24-70mm lens and I was just so overwhelmed by the price. I just rented the 24-70mm 2.8 and I loved it! I am so glad that I rented it. It just confirmed the fact that I want to purchase it. Now it is time to save up!!!
