To Infinity and Beyond!

Have you seen Toy Story 3 yet?  It’s amazing.  Seriously.  Brayden and I went with my Mom yesterday and Brayden loved it!  My Mom cried (I may have shed a tear or two).  Brayden is now officially the biggest Buzz fan there is.  Memaw had to go right to Target after the movie to buy Brayden a Buzz and Woody action figure.  He played with them all day.  Took them to his nap.  And in the pool.  I overheard Brayden tell them that they are going on a plane to Hawaii with us.  Lucky action figures.

If you go bring the tissues.  The movie totally hit home because I can remember growing up and going off to college myself a couple (or 12) years ago.  I took my Teddy with me though.  And slept with it all through college.  Actually, I may have slept with Teddy until I got married.  Shh.  Don’t tell anyone.  I also played with Barbie dolls until I was 16, but that’s a whole different story.

And it hit home because I know before I am ready this little guy is going to be leaving me to go off on his own.

I just want him to stay like this forever.

I was JUST telling a friend of mine this weekend that it scares the bejeezus out of me just to think about how quickly 2 years has gone by with my son. Which means the next few will fly by just as fast and I’m facing kindergarten and first grade. I can’t bear to think about college!

Drew, I am wondering if the “Unmanual” provides any processing tips. I am really interested in learning how you pop your colors while still looking natural. Would you be willing to share or maybe create an “Unprocessing Guide”? Thanks so much.

Everyone I know is saying the same thing about Toy Story. I hope I can handle it alongside my girls! Where did you get that shirt that Brayden is wearing? My nephew would love it!

I keep hearing good things about Toy Story 3 also! I want to see it. I’m sure I’ll cry. One of my friends just sent her 10 yr. old to camp for a week. She took her to the bus, dropped her off and will pick her up in a week. A week! Oh, I so don’t think I could go a week. I’ll never be able to cut the strings!

Seen it and loved it! My oldest was about your little ones age when he saw the first Toy Story. He too got a buzz and woody doll and they are now in the attic waiting for my grandchildren to play with them. Oh… I shed some tears at the end too. Only 4 short years until my oldest heads off to college…heavy sigh.

Hi Kelly! It doesn’t. The purpose of the UNmanual is to learn how to get great looking pictures straight out of camera without Photoshop. I don’t think I would have enough material to write a whole manual about processing (cute name though!)! I do very little to my images in Photoshop.

Got B’s shirt from Target a month or two ago. I was there a couple of days ago and didn’t see it. It’s glow in the dark though. He loves it!

I bawled like a baby at the end. I could totally see my boy leaving his boyhood behind and going to college. Why do they have to grow up? I will also have a really hard time getting rid of old toys from now on ;)

  10. Maybe he’ll like the Woody stuffed guy I got him now.

  11. My question is…was it tough taking a 2 yr old to a movie in the theatre? I haven’t braved it with ours yet… LOL.

B has been going to movies for about a year now. He sat through Princess and the Frog, Toy Story 3, Madagascar 2 (free movie last summer), and Shrek. We left during Oceans, the 2nd Chipmunk movie, and How to Train a Dragon). If he likes it he sits through it. If he doesn’t he says, “All done”. And the movies we take him to are kid movies so if he talks a few times it’s not a big deal because the other kids are doing it too. We buy him popcorn and bring a boxed juice and fruit snacks and he does great. I really enjoy taking him. And best thing is he’s still free!
