37 Weeks

I have:

-  Bruised ribs

-  A crazy, active baby that likes to kick the bruised ribs

-  Stretch marks

-  Swollen hands and feet

-  Blurry vision

-  An extra 35 pounds that I’m carrying around

But, I’m SO not ready to have two kids.  The thought is just terrifying to me.  I think I’ll keep her inside me a little longer and will enjoy the peace and quiet while it lasts.

PS  I have officially outgrown this outfit.  Hopefully I can get it back on for one last belly shot at 39 weeks!

You are disgustingly skinny everywhere else. I officially hate you. :)
But wheeeee!!!! A cute baby girl to snuggle!!! I can’t wait to come over and steal her for a few minutes to get baby snuggles in :)

I just love these pictures!! Your belly is adorable!

I hear you on wanting to keep her in there a little longer! I have 2 and it was quite the adjustment when #2 entered the world!! You will do great!

Wow-sounds like me too, except this is my first one. We are at the end of 34 weeks and this active little girl is everywhere. I want to meet her, but I am soooo nervous about what is coming! We are still putting her room together and trying to “get ready”, if it’s possible! Best wishes to you!

You might not be feeling so hot but you’re lookin’ it! :) Hang in there, mama. You’ll find what you need when it’s time.

I would REALLY like to know where those 35lbs are hiding, because all I see is the baby bump! You wear it well! Congrats and good luck. Baby #2 was tough-er, but at the time I had grandma nearby and she kept baby #1 for a few extra days so I could rest some without chasing a 3yr old around.

  7. Andrea says:

you’re looking good! can’t wait to see Baby K on the outside!

ps- there’s had to be some outtakes of you and B from these shots! Everytime I see them I think 1.) you both are so cute! and 2.) how many shots did you take to get the 1 good one?

    enjoy the home stretch!

  10. Amanda says:

My #2 came 4 1/2 months ago…the first two months are the hardest and then it gets easier. Let’s just say coffee became my best friend some mornings:) Life is so much fun with two!

  11. Andrea says:

I was insanely anxious to have my second. For the last three weeks I started really rethinking the decision… haha. On the way to the hospital I declared it was the stupidest thing we had ever done. But I think its best that way. If you’re breaking out and sure it will be nearly impossible then it will be surprisingly easy. At least that’s my theory.

You’ll be just fine. Besides everything taking twice as long because you have to prepare for two little ones I have loved every little bit of having two kids.

That belly looks very familiar…the last time I saw it you were preggers with Brayden and you were shooting a wedding…crazy girl!!! Hope your last weeks of pregnancy with baby K are calmer than with B…remember that car accident you got into the night before you shot that wedding…craziness!!! Don’t worry about being a mom of 2…you will do just fine!

  13. Andrea says:

*freaking. Also, it doesn’t always take twice as long… just at first. One of my favorite memories from right at first we were headed out the door (late, of course) and #1 had an accident and peed all over the entry floor and while I tried to clean that up #2 had a blowout and all I could do was laugh.

  16. Shannon says:

I am sure that you don’t feel like it, but you are so CUTE!! I was very nervous with my second one as well. I couldn’t stop thinking about all the things running through my head. Everything has a way of falling into place. Nothing is sweeter than watching your first child fall in love with your second. Can I give one piece of advice? I know everyone is always full of advice, lol. I was always so worried about my children being jealous of each other. I made it a point to never say, “No, that’s the baby’s.” I tried to always let my older one explore all the baby’s things. Is it really going to hurt if they try some of the baby’s bottle or the baby’s swing? You will be fine! If you can go to Sea World for the day in the last month of your pregnancy you can do ANYTHING! :)

Children are as different as adults – one is not like another.
My eldest son is a hyperactive ginger supersensitive person.
A daughter was born risible calm and gentle. My son has become calmer
I wish you happiness and love from each of the children

You are all belly! You look great! Isn’t the blurry vision/swelling (which your hands don’t show in the pic!!) a sign of pregnancy induced hypertension? I’m 37 weeks with our 3rd and when my OB asked as this weeks appointment if I was ready to be done, I said “No, 3 more months please!” LOL So I kinda get where you are coming from! Excited to hear your baby girls name as we have a child that starts with K as well :)

    Hi,
well first, I think you look amazing, even though you said you’ve gained 35 pounds and you’re all swollen and stuff. Second, were you really ready for your first kiddo….I know I wasn’t but as soon as she came I suddenly felt like I do, it’s like nature taken care of everything….same for the second one as well….no worries :)

I SOOOOO vividly remember sitting on our bed and crying my eyes out to Shawn just a few days before Cora was born. I wasn’t ready to have two. I didn’t want anything to change with how wonderful things were with just Nathan and me. I was scared and anxious and felt guilty because I was scared and anxious. : ) Granted, Nathan was just 19 months at the time…. Looking back, I’m not quite sure how we made it.

All that said, I cannot believe you’ve gained 35 pounds! I sure wouldn’t have guessed that! Wish I had looked that cute pregnant, and that pregnant at that!

I’m very excited for you. Can’t wait to see that pretty little girl. And you all will look back and wonder how on earth you made it without her. But yeah, I remember having little pep talks asking her to wait a little longer, too.

  25. Mona Alicia says:

I have two girls, 16 months apart. I remember the slight feeling of terror at the thought of having to care for two little ones. After Samantha (the youngest) was born, I had a system that made me feel in control (at least in my mind, haha). When Charlotte (the oldest) would wake up I would immediately change her diaper and dress her for the day, right down to her socks and shoes. That way I knew if I needed to go anywhere at least she was ready :) I think it’s good that you are slightly dreading it because then at least it won’t be as bad as you think. At least that’s how it worked out for me :) Happy babying!

  26. Girl do I ever feel your pain. I have outgrown everything. My hands have swollen so much, I had to have a jewlery store take my wedding ring off (first pregnancy & you can guarentee I won’t be making the same mistake with #2 when ever that comes along). stretch marks out the whazoo, & about 45 extra pounds- well I guess, I have stopped looking at the scale-. Hang in there!
