Home Stretch
The last couple of weeks of pregnancy should be classified as cruel and unusual punishment. I’m tired. Exhausted even. But, can I sleep? Nope. Up all night. Can’t nap during the day. And what makes it worse is that I know in 4 days I will be able to sleep, but I’ll have a little one who will start crying the second I shut my eyes. Cruel and unusual I tell you.
With Brayden I was so ready to just be done being pregnant. I wanted him out. But, this time I’m really excited to meet the baby. See what color hair she has. What her personality will be like. See if I will finally have a child that looks like me (although minus the frizzy hair and freakishly small ears hopefully). Just 4 more days to see…

Don’t you just love the comment you get when you say, “I can’t sleep and I’m so tired,” people respond, “Nature’s way of preparing you for the sleepless nights ahead.” Um, hello? Wrong thing to say to a tired, already emotional and hormonal woman.

You look awesome!!! Just curious – how many self portrait photos did you take before you took one that YOU liked? I’m just curious because I take a million when I take photos of myself – but maybe since you’re a pro you don’t need to do that?
I also love that you have just frames on the opposite wall – I can never commit to putting things in frames – it never occurred to me that I could just hang the frames by themselves…

Jennifer – I only had 10 shots in my camera. I always hate my self portraits, but this one turned out okay
There are supposed to be more frames on that wall, but my friend used them for my shower and we haven’t put them back up yet. There will eventually be pictures in them. I’m just waiting for the disc from our maternity session and the newborn session before I decide what pictures to put in there. I do agree, though, that it looks good without pictures too!
I love you baby bump pictures! Brayden asleep in the background is too cute! I think I can speak for most of your blog readers that we can’t wait to meet Baby too!

Ahhh…. to not be exhausted. Good luck, Momma. I have a boy Brayden’s age and a girl that’s 7 months and I still have the “I’m so tired, but I can’t sleep” issue. No matter what, I can’t get to bed before 1am, only to be woken up at 3am to nurse and up for the day by 6-6:30. It’s tough, but I keep telling myself I’ll get more sleep in a few years.
You look fantastic, by the way, and Brayden snoozing in the back ground – precious!

Amen to the no sleep! I toss & turn all night, it stinks. But I say God must have designed the last few weeks of pregnancy this way for a reason. My goodness. At least you only have 4 days, I have 4 weeks. I used to love the night time, now I dread it because I know it will be filled with me up & in & out of sleep!
