Moirai Giveaway
You know those cute blogboards that you see on a lot of photographers blogs? I’ve bought a couple of different actions in the past so I could make them, but they always were more trouble than they were worth. Took lots of time to make the quality of my images never looked great.
Recently, Moirai Tools contacted me and asked me to try out their program called Compositor. Compositor is a script that runs in Photoshop and it creates blogboards, storyboards, and even album layouts. It’s easy, fast, and my images look great!
Here’s a little more info from their website:
Once the script is installed and run, you simply tell it the images you want to include and the final size of the composition, and it automatically calculates the best layout based on the actual aspect ratios of the individual images you’ve chosen to include. You can view a variety of layouts before picking the best one and can even choose exactly how many columns or rows should be used to lay the images out.
It can work with any size and any aspect ratio for the final image, and the number of individual elements you can add to the composition is virtually unlimited.
Moirai Tools is giving away Encompass, which includes Compositor and their other product Sequence. How awesome is that?
To enter:
1) Visit the Moirai Tools Facebook page and “like” them.
2) Come back to this post and leave a comment stating that you did so.
The contest ends Friday, September 30 at midnight PST. Winner will be announced on Monday, October 3.
Good luck and a big thanks to Moirai Tools for giving away such a fabulous product!
Photography Bucket List
I’m always looking for reasons to take family portraits. I love having the opportunity to get my family in front of my favorite photographers lenses. And I’ve been lucky enough to have a few photographers from my photography bucket list photograph us.
Jessica Claire (twice)
Right now I have Jose Villa, Bobbi + Mike, Jinky Art, and Peta Mazey on my photography bucket list. I want to fly to Indiana just to have Bobbi + Mike shoot us. I love them.
What photographers are on your photography bucket list?
Super B!
When your three year old asks you to buy them a red super hero cape with a yellow star and blue B it’s kind of hard to say no.
Canon 5d, 16-35 2.8
2.8, 1/200, ISO 500
F 2.8, 1/100, ISO 800
“This is how superheros brush their teeth, Mom.”
And this is what he picked for his Halloween costume. Are you kidding me with the muscles?
50 1.2
F 2.0, 1/500, ISO 400
I foresee a superhero 4th birthday party in our future!

Hi Ho, Hi Ho. Back to Work I Go.
Maternity leave is over. I am sad. Two shoots today. Three next week. Crazy busy until the holidays. Thankful to be crazy busy, but crazy busy nonetheless.
With Brayden I was so excited to get back to work. I desperately needed work to find myself again. This time, I would be perfectly happy being a housewife. The difference this time is that I haven’t ever really stopped working. I’ve been busy with Mom*tog and The Lens Loves since Kennedy was born. And this time I also know how truly fast a baby grows up. I don’t want to miss a moment.
I know I will be fine once I start shooting. I know I will be more than fine. I love my clients and love working. And I’m so lucky that I get to be with my kids the majority of the time and I make my own schedule. I’m just sad it’s over.
I’m going to miss spending all my time with my this girl. My silly, little Turtle girl.
