A Belated Thanks

I wanted to thank you all for your kind emails, comments, and Facebook notes about my birthday post.  I am inspired by hearing your stories and reading about your random acts of kindness.  I read every single comment with a smile on my face!  You truly all made my birthday really special.

Wouldn’t the world be an awesome place if in addition to receiving presents on our birthdays we ALL gave on our birthdays too?  Or just did something little every, single day.  It doesn’t have to be something that costs any money.  A smile, a sincere compliment, opening the door, any little random act of kindness can be something BIG to someone else.

It was fun.  It was a challenge.  It was overwhelming.  But, it was a great experience and I hope you all get to do it at some point in your lives as well!

xo,

Drew

It has been fun making a point to do random, kind things for people! Something everyone should do and something everyone should teach their kids to do. :) Thanks again for being an inspiration. :)

  2. Loved your 31 on 31 idea Drew & I am for sure going to do it for one of my birthdays. I have been so inspired by this (and the Happy Day Project) so I am all about Random acts of Kindness. Over the weekend we were in Carmel & we had lunch. The girls didn’t eat their hamburger that we got them so we got a to-go box for it. On the way back to our car (in the rain) we saw a homeless man. I walked by him, but something was tugging at my heart. I turned back around & asked him if he wanted the hamburger & fries. The look on his face still brings tears to my eyes. He was SO appreciative. He was smiled so big & said Thank You & God Bless you. It was a simple act for me, but a huge thing for him. I will never forget it. Thank you, Drew!
