Mom*tog Memory – BFF

Canon 5D Mark II, 50 1.2

F 2.0, 1/160, ISO 800

Brayden was supposed to be an only child.  I was terrified to have two kids who didn’t like each other.  My brother and I don’t have the best relationship and I didn’t want that for my kids.  So my solution was to only have one.  But, sometimes life has different plans for you.

I guess I didn’t have anything to worry about.  They are best friends.  Of course they have their issues now and then.  Kennedy now loves to yell “Heeeeeyyyyyyy!” at him if he takes her toys (which is often) and Brayden can be a little rough when playing.  But, I just love how Kennedy gets so excited to see Brayden when we pick him up from school.  I love their hugs.  I love how he teaches her things.  I love their laughter.  I hope they always love each other like they do now.  It makes me so happy.

Wow! Thanks for writing this. My brother and I don’t have a great relationship either. Rocky at best. We go through stages, but we just don’t see eye to eye. He drains my parents of resources and money and it makes me angry. I was also so nervous to have two children and a boy at that. Apparently there were other plans for me as well! You can tell that they do truly love each other and I hope that carries on through the years as well.

Such an adorable shot! I have a 2 year old right now and we both want her to have a sibling. My little brother and I are 3 years apart and although we had our moments it was pretty fun having someone to play with at home I do admit that. Hopefully soon we can try for #2 but I’m terrified of taking care of 2 kids, mainly because these terrible two’s are crazy and I hear 3′s are worse. I think that’s really the only thing holding us back lol.

I love this. We have three kids – any combination of two get along great ;) We have the exact same kids’ kitchen and my youngest boy plays with it EVERY day – isn’t it the greatest?!

I love this photo/post for so many reasons! I don’t have a great relationship with my brothers either. I have a 13 month old redheaded baby girl who looks so much like your beautiful Kennedy. I really want her to have a sister… probably because my relationship with my brothers is not the best. But, I think of my niece and nephew when I see this photo. I think of how they shared a room for a few years, told secrets and laughed all the time. They are teenagers now. Their relationship is not as sweet, but I think that is expected. I know they will be close in adulthood, just as this photo expresses the love and closeness of your little ones. Love grows through experience and example. It’s evident that you are a great Mom. Sorry… I’m being emotional today. I had a such a lovely day with my little redhead! Cheers! :)
